The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a massive national park in Cherokee, North Carolina. It is the best known for being the most visited National Park in the country, patronized for the great number of activities it offers and its natural beauty.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park was established in 1934. It was named “smoky” as the word describes its image aptly when the soft blue haze hovers over the mountain ranges during the summer months. Visitors can enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, and even wildlife viewing. It also features two historic attractions, like the Mingus Mill and the Mountain Farm Museum.

Declared as an International Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a truly magnificent site to visit if you’re ever in the south.
