The Guilford Courthouse National Military Park is a national military park in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is a historic site where the Battle of Guilford Court House is commemorated and celebrated, especially since the event that took place here in 1781 played a large part in the overall victory of the American troops during the Revolutionary War.

The Battle of Guilford Court House is considered to be a decisive one. It may have been won by the 1900 British troops under General Lord Cornwallis against the 4000 men of General Nathanael Greene, but it actually led to Greene?s unraveling of British control of the South. Seven months later, the British surrendered in Yorktown, freeing the United States from colonial rule.

The Guilford Courthouse National Military Park celebrates this historic event. The site preserves 220 acres worth of land area where the event took place.
