Also known as the Robert Hay House the Hay House is a historic home in New Bern, North Carolina. It is also a living history museum, filled with costumed interpreters who are portraying the lives and characters of the Hay household members and neighbors.

The Hay House is an excellent place to learn more about the local history, as it provides a different view of the time past. Instead of just having visitors look at antique furniture and items, there are actual people who are versed in the life and times of the Hay family, and are acting out specific historic roles for visitors. It is also a “Please Touch” museum, where visitors are allowed to touch and feel the displays.
