The Heritage Farmstead is a well known tourist attraction in Statesville, North Carolina. It is a living history museum, built originally as a section to the Iredell Museum of Arts & Heritage. It was expanded later on and was named as such, which became an attraction on its own.
The Heritage Farmstead features a series of historic structures. The site presents two colonial era log cabins, a schoolhouse, corn crib, barn, and a smokehouse. The two log cabins are from the late 18th and early 19th centuries, recovered from the Amity Hill area. There?s also a herb garden that was acquired from its natural environment.
The Heritage Farmstead is currently a part of the Court Street Gallery complex. It is situated near the natural area of the museum.
