The Jim Bob Tinsley Museum is a very interesting museum in Brevard, North Carolina. It features a wide array of topics and fields of interests, taking after the museum?s founder, Jim Bon Tinsley.

Jim Bob Tinsley and his wife Dottie Tinsley founded the Jim Bob Tinsley Museum in 1994. It was intended to feature the 10 books that Jim Bob wrote, as well as the various art works and artifacts that are related to the book. They also featured their lifelong collections composed of various items including artifacts, paintings, sculptures, drawings, and research materials.

The original Jim Bob Tinsley Museum closed in 2007 but it was reopened as the Transylvania County Heritage Museum. The collections are currently treated as a part of the displays reflecting the county?s history and heritage.
