The John Blue Cotton Festival is an annual event in Laurinburg, North Carolina. It celebrates the historic site?s roots as well as the area?s history and heritage.

The John Blue Cotton Festival is actually one of the fastest growing events in this part of Scotland County. Celebrated every second full weekend in October, the festival is filled with tons of fun events. Visitors can tour the beautiful John Blue House, watch the mule-powered cotton gin operate, visit a General Store, and even see some folks in late 1800s garb. There are also a lot of live entertainment, food, and arts and crafts. There are also a lot of activities for kids, as well as demonstrations of 19th century games and farming practices.
