The Macon County Historical Museum is a local history museum in Franklin, North Carolina. It was formed by the Macon County Historical Society and is focused on telling the history of the county.

Housed in the 1904 commercial store building constructed by the Reverend Jesse R. Pendergrass, which also served as a community building for quite some time due to its commercial nature, the Macon County Historical Museum was opened in 1990. It was the perfect venue for a local history museum, as the building has played a very large role in developing the community. The displays are just an additional attraction, in some people?s opinion.

The Macon County Historical Museum features a vast number of artifacts chronicling the area?s early history up until the mid 20th century.
