The McGill Rose Garden is a garden venue in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was started as a small garden project by Helen McGill around the early 1950s. It was created around the time when the McGills owned the Avant Fuel and Ice Company and that the place was too industrial looking, so Mrs. McGill decided to do something about it.

The McGill Rose Garden started out with two rose bushes from the McGill home. Eventually, it covered the fuel yard with more than 500 rose bushes. By 1967, they?ve decided to open the site to the public and was consequently bought by the city after a couple of decades.

Dubbed as a living work of art, the McGill Rose Garden serves as an urban sanctuary of around 1000 roses and a number of other themed gardens.
