The Mexico-Cardenas Museum is an interesting venue in Waxhaw, North Carolina. It is dedicated to the story of the great relations that the General Lazaro Cardenas (then president of Mexico) and Mr. Cameron Townsend (founder of the Instituto Linguistico de Verano) and the ties between the people of Mexico with the Wycliffe Bible Translators and the Summer Institute of Linguistics.

The Mexico-Cardenas Museum is packed with displays, artifacts, photographs, costumes, and folk art that reflect the cross cultural work that has been done in Mexico. They have several displays and exhibits, telling of the great relationship that has been built among the two groups.

Established in 1977, the Mexico-Cardenas Museum continues to celebrate its heritage. It is open to the public on Mondays through Saturdays.
