The Mineral and Lapidary Museum is a science museum in Hendersonville, North Carolina. It mostly focuses on the topics of petrology and natural museum, featuring a wide range of information and displays pertaining to minerals, gems, and fossils.

The Mineral and Lapidary Museum is also known as the Geode-Cracking Museum. It got its nickname through its volunteer staff’s tradition of cracking geodes in half on regular days. These demonstrations present more information and fascinating things to visitors, making it an additional attraction in the site.

Among many other stone and mineral specimens, the Mineral and Lapidary Museum also has a couple of authentic dinosaur eggs on display. These fossilized eggs are from Hunan, China and kids are allowed to touch them.
