The Mint Hill County Doctor?s Museum is a local history museum in Mint Hill, North Carolina. It is focused on chronicling the history of medicine in Mecklenburg County.
Housed in a turn of the century doctor?s office, the Mint Hill County Doctor?s Museum preserves and tells of the area?s colorful history. It chronicles the practice of medicine in the rural region through the old office of Dr. Ayer Whitley, the last country doctor that used the office before it was moved to its current location. Displays include medical equipment and instruments, as well as hand blown medicine bottles and period furnishing. There?s also a herb garden nearby the historic structure.
The Mint Hill County Doctor?s Museum is open to the public as a part of the Carl J. McEwen Historic Village.
