The New Hanover County Extension Service Arboretum is a local garden in Wilmington, North Carolina. It features 7 acres worth of plants, mostly of local variety.

Established in 1989, the New Hanover County Extension Service Arboretum is still an ongoing project. Currently, it has 33 gardens of different sorts. They have an aquatic, bog, herb, Japanese, rose, and children?s gardens. It is believed that there are more or less four thousand varieties of plants on the site, most of which are native (which means they grow without a fuss in the area) and naturalized plants. Most of the original plants here are from the renowned horticulturist of the North Carolina State University, JC Raulston.

The New Hanover County Extension Service Arboretum is open daily, free of any admission charges.
