The Oconaluftee Indian Village is a living history museum in Cherokee, North Carolina. It is actually an authentic replica of a Cherokee community in the 18th century, presenting visitors a quick peek to how the Native Americans lived just before the colonizers drove them out from their own lands.

When you get to the Oconaluftee Indian Village, you will be transported back to the year 1759. Here, you?ll find villagers going about their daily chores, like making pottery and masks, weaving beadworks and baskets, and hulling canoes.
