Also known as the Pender County Historical Society and Museum, the Pender County Museum is a historical museum in Burgaw, North Carolina. It features a wide range of displays chronicling the area?s local history through Native American artifacts, personal items of some older Pender County citizens,

Victorian furniture, important documents, art works, agricultural implements, and many others. There were also a number of reclaimed ?river wood? that date back to the 1700s and 1800s.

Housed in a historic house built in 1917 by Burgaw?s former mayor, Amos Burton, the building has its own share of history to tell as well. Being the oldest brick house in town, it also tells of the history of its previous owners and purposes. Aside from being a residential home, it also served as a summer tonsillectomy clinic for a time. It was also where the Burgaw Book Club was formed in 1929.
