The Polk County Historical Museum is a local history museum located in Columbus, North Carolina. It was originally located and Tryon and was just recently relocated and reopened in Columbus in 2009.

The Polk County Historical Museum features the heritage and history of its region. It tells of the county?s colorful history through its numerous displays and historic objects? collections. It features a coach that dates back to the 1800s, antique farming implements and tools, photographs, a station master?s office, and a military section. They also have set ups that show the past century?s home, beauty parlor, and even a clinic.

The Polk County Historical Museum was moved to Columbus so it can have a bigger exhibit space. A number of new displays can be found in its new location.
