The Pope House Museum is a historic house museum in Raleigh, North Carolina. It celebrates and commemorates the house’s history, which goes back to its completion in 1901, owned by Dr. M. T. Pope. Dr. Pope is a well known Arican-American citizen of Raleigh and was a medical doctor who attended the Leonard Medical Center at Shaw University.

The house, located in what once was an area known as the “Third Ward”, is historic for its association with Dr. Pope. The house was built in the area since it became a neighborhood filled with prominent African Americans. The area has changed a lot since the house’s early days, making it quite a clear reminder of how life was like just a century ago.
