The Richmond-Miles Museum is a history museum located in Yanceyville, North Carolina. It is owned and operated by the Caswell County Historical Association or the CCHA.
The Richmond-Miles Museum features the historic Graves-Florance-Gatewood House, wherein the museum is housed. Built in 1822 by the locally prominent Graves family, the house was most noted for its association with Maud Florance Gatewood, a well known artist. Her grandparents bought the house in 1880, which paved the way for it to become Maud?s mother?s birthplace.
The Richmond-Miles Museum is named in honor of the benefactors? paternal grandmothers. It presents a wide array of displays and artifacts that tell of Caswell County?s rich past and history. It is open on Wednesdays through Fridays during the months of March through December.
