The Rural Life Museum is a museum in Mars Hill, North Carolina. It is a student-run venue, operated by the Mars Hill College.

The Rural Life Museum shares a lot of information about the Southern Appalachian region, mostly about the local life, history, and tradition. The site collects, preserves, exhibits, and interprets the rural life artifacts that become available to them, according to the history and culture of the county and the region. There are also educational programs, like tours, workshops, and lectures that share more information about the site’s main field of interest.

As of June 2011, the Rural Life Museum is closed for renovations. You can, however, check the Mars Hill College’s website for updates as to when it will open its doors again.
