The Schiele Museum of Natural History is a science museum in Gastonia, North Carolina. It is focused on the promotion for the awareness and appreciation of nature.

The Schiele Museum of Natural History was established in 1961 after the retired Boy Scouts of America executive, Bud Schiele, and wife, Lily, decided to donate their collections and services to the county for a museum. It was originally known as the Gaston County Museum of natural History and was renamed as such in 1964 when the museum was transferred to the city of Gastonia’s care and administration.

The Schiele Museum of Natural History features a wide range of exhibits and displays, taking the nature closer to the museum’s visitors. It also has a planetarium that offers astronomy and space science presentations on a regular schedule.
