The Tweetsie Railroad is a popular tourist destination in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. It is a Wild West theme park that features a family oriented railroad as its main attraction.

Tweetsie Railroad opened in 1957 as an excursion train ride featuring the historic steam locomotive #12. The train is best noted for being the last remaining narrow gauge engine of the East Tennessee and Western North Carolina Railroad. It was built in 1917 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and was initially used to haul freight and passengers from Johnson City to Boone, NC. It was also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Today, the Tweetsie Railroad is a well celebrated family attraction. Aside from the train ride, there are also other attractions n the site.
