Unto These Hills is an outdoor drama premiered in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1950. It is about the story of the Cherokee Indians and the Trail of Tears. It is also the second oldest outdoor historical drama in the country.

The play is quite a great cultural event regularly held in 2800-seater Mountainside Theatre. Unto These Hills was originally written by the famous playwright Kermit Hunter, who was also the genius behind several other outdoor dramas like Horn in the West. It has produced numerous famous alumni, including Michael Rosenbaum who is best known for his role as Lex Luthor on Smallville, Morgan Freeman, and Ben Jones.

Unto These Hills continues to be staged until today. However, it has been rewritten and revamped in the past years.
