The Wing Haven Gardens & Bird Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary and non-profit gardens in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was originally a part of the couple Elizabeth and Edwin Clarkson?s property, who were also the creators of the current garden.

The Wing Haven Gardens & Bird Sanctuary started in 1927. It is composed of three acres worth of land, right in the heart of the city of Charlotte, providing quite a getaway in the midst of a busy area. The couple really created the garden for birds and other wildlife, which is why it is also filled with statuary and plaques. Elizabeth Clarkson also became interested in ornithology, so a lot of information about birds is present in the site as well.

The Wing Haven Gardens & Bird Sanctuary was donated by the Clarksons to the Wing Haven Foundation in 1970.
