The World War Memorial Stadium is a historic sports complex located in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is also commonly known as the War Memorial Stadium and is most commonly used as a baseball park.
Built in 1926, the World War Memorial Stadium was once the home of several local minor league baseball teams and clubs. It was originally designed for American football games, however it became more popular being used for baseball. It saw great use during the 1980s and 1990s, with the minor league explosion. It also took some beating when several college teams used it during the summer months.
Today, the World War Memorial Stadium sees less action than it did before, with the opening of the NewBridge Bank Park.
