The Dakota Dinosaur Museum is a 13,400-square foot, volunteer run, dinosaur themed museum in Dickinson, North Dakota. It was opened in 1994 and features a wide array of dinosaur replicas made by local and Texan artists through a company in Utah. They also have paleontological and geological specimens available on site, most of which were recovered from an excavation project near Dickinson.
Funded by the Dickinson Hospitality Tax Revenues, the museum makes the most out of the admission fees they collect, as well as the gift shop sales. They offer self-guided tours as well as interactive events that aim to give visiting students a fun and educational time.
The Dakota Dinosaur Museum is closely affiliated with the other local museums and attractions as can be found on their website.
