The Pembina State Museum features the history, culture, and heritage of the Pembina as well as the region around it that has been a center of activity for centuries. This area served as the home of several groups of native peoples, including the Ojibwa, Dakota, Assiniboine, and Cree. These communities lived during their time hunting buffalo and gathering wild berries.

The region also witnessed the birth of a new nation, the M?tis, who were descendants of European traders and Indian women. This time, the fur trade business was developed leading to the establishment of the river town, Pembina.

Visitors to the Museum will be able to see a stunning view of the Red River Valley from 7 stories above the ground. On a regular day, visitors get to have a 360-degree view for 10 miles. The sight consists of neatly organized modern farmlands and as well as traces of historic sites, industry, transportation, and communications.

The Museum also houses its own store that offers a selection of books and items that complement the exhibit inside the Museum.
