The Pioneer Trails Regional Museum serves as a research and repository for history from within 100 miles of Bowman, ND. It focuses on Archaeological, Genealogical and Paleontological research aside from the preservation of collections related to local history. By showcasing local artistic talents, traveling displays and guest speakers, the museum has become one of significant cultural centers in Bowman as well as its surrounding area.

The Museum is operated by the Historical Society since it has become the group?s purpose to conserve historical artifacts and fossils, educate the public, and preserve the history of the region through publishing, curatorship, research, and displays.
