Founded in 1986, the Railroad Museum of Minot is dedicated to preserving artifacts and educating the public about the history of the railroad system operating in North Dakota as well as the rest of the country. The place is made distinct from other railroad museums by its interesting collection, which includes among other things an all-original Burlington Northern Speeder Car. It was the service vehicle used by crews who were called in to ride or repair the rails.

The museum undergoes a constant period of renovation due to the various new exhibits being added to it several times a year. One of the latest additions, for instance, is a miniature of the Great Northern Locomotive, and was generously donated and made by Roger Burchill, the museum?s Gift Shop and Facilities Manager.

For those who would like to know more about the railroad history in the state, there?s no better way of doing so than by riding the Magic City Express in the neighboring Roosevelt Park. This new attraction is available from 1 to 4:45PM every day of the week and for very affordable rates.
