Minot, North Dakota is the right place to be if one wants to get a taste of Scandinavia without leaving the US. At the Scandinavian Heritage Park, guests can see replicas of historical buildings and icons from the five Scandinavian countries (Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, and Sweden). Established in 1988, it offers 15 highlights and is the only outdoor museum in the world.

The Scandinavian Heritage Park in Minot is also believed to be the only site that has representations from each Scandinavian nation. It is also supported by the Norsk Hostfest and the Scandinavian Heritage Association. These two organizations hold offices in the park grounds.

Admission to the Scandinavian Heritage Park is free, and they are open Mondays through Fridays.
