In 1964, the Geographical Center Historical Society launched The Prairie Village Museum in Rugby, North Dakota. On display within its halls are various exhibits and galleries that depict the state?s history, including but not limited to Eskimo and Indian artefacts, antique guns, and frontier living objects. There are also several shops which sell artefacts to serve as cherished mementos of your visit.

Around The Prairie Village, visitors may also check out several interesting structures that had been part of daily living in the old days. The land office is where claims for homesteads were bought or sold. At the hobo jungle, transients had the chance to find temporary work for locals. Not to be missed is the Great Northern Depot, which was built in 1886, and where passengers during those times waited for the train heading to the wilds of the West.
