In commemoration of the area?s agricultural heritage, they have erected a Wheat Monument to celebrate those people who have done their best to grow wheat, despite the many challenges of farming. It features a sculpture of three giant, 35-foot stalks of wheat sprouting in the midst of a stone fenced-area.

The Wheat Monument also features three black granite plaques. These have engravings of the names of the pioneers who did the farming and participated greatly in the development of the local farming industry. It is also said that the granite was from the very same stone used in the National Vietnam Memorial.

The primary aim of the Wheat Monument is to stand as a reminder about the hard work of the past generations.
