Originally an amusement park that was founded in 1888, the Geauga Lake’s Wildwater Kingdom is a water park that has been repackaged and opened in 2008. It features a 690-acre area that is managed and owned by Cedar Fair.

Geauga Lake’s Wildwater Kingdom has been through a lot of changes and developments with its more than 100 years of operation. It was first a “Picnic Lake” that got improved. Its first ride was installed in 1889, in the form of a steam powered carousel.

Today, the Geauga Lake’s Wildwater Kingdom features three pools and eight water slides. The old roller coasters and other rides were sold to other parks, transferred to other Cedar Fair venues, or scrapped altogether. It now operates simply as a water park and resort.
