Glaciers are probably some of the most spectacular natural wonders around. And though a lot of them have since melted, the features that they leave around are also as equally stunning. One of such features is the Glacial Grooves that are located in Kelleys Island, Ohio. These grooves are estimated to have been formed by the advancing glaciers that were present in the area some 18,000 years ago. The force of the glacier?s movement was enough to reveal the much older rock that is buried in the ground.

Due to the quarrying that was prevalent in the area, park officials have decided to put a fence around the grooves to protect them. However, there is still a paved walkway that visitors can use to get a good view.
