Built in the early 1900s, the Glamorgan Castle in Alliance, Ohio is actually an original design commissioned by the original owner, Col. William Henry Morgan, who is also the owner of Morgan Engineering Co. It is now a part of the National Register of Historic Places.

The Glamorgan Castle initially served as a residence of the Morgans when it was finished in 1909. The structure was made of Vermont marble. It was outfitted with modern comforts and entertainment, like bowling alleys, a swimming pool, and a billiard room.

Today, the Glamorgan Castle serves as a central office of the Alliance City School District. They?ve also taken charge of the restoration of the building, which has amounted to $774,350. Tours are offered, but visitors need to call in advance and set an appointment.
