Considered to be the most visited seasonal amusement park in the United States, the Kings Island has met around 3 million visitors in 2009 alone. It is also the recipient of Amusement Today’s “Best Kids’ Area” award for nine consecutive years (from 2001 to 2010).

Kings Island features 49 different rides, scattered to the different areas and sections of the park. Fifteen of which are roller coasters of different designs and intensity. There are also a couple of theatres, some water rides, and some restaurants and concessionaires.

Previously known as Paramount’s Kings Island, the park boasts of 774 acres of total area. It was initially opened in 1972 and has already seen a good number of tweaks here and there, but still remains to be one of the best amusement parks in the world.
