The Macy?s Music Festival goes back to the early 1960?s and was known as the first jazz fair. This event was the very reason why Cincinnati became popular around the U.S. as a major summer destination to enjoy a music fest. Today, the Macy?s Music Festival is incomparable to other R&B themed music festivals in terms of how big a celebration it is wherein R&B artists come together to perform for 2 nights filled with live rhythm and blues music. Former artists who graced the music fest were Ohio-bred musicians such as Mary J. Blige, O?Jays, Earth, Wind and Fire and Patti LaBelle, to name a few. Every year, the Paul Brown Stadium, the ever reliable venue of the event becomes jam-packed with over 65,000 people participating in the music festival.
