The Vectren Dayton Air show is an event that celebrates the aviation heritage of the state of Ohio. The annual event started in 1975, and part of the show is a tribute to the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, who first successfully built and flew a plane. The event is held annually, in the month of June, and showcases not only the aviation heritage of the region but its aerospace community as well.

The event features several different types of aircraft, particularly from the military, but also displays civilian aircraft both vintage and new. During the event, the grounds are filled with exhibit planes and guests could just come in and take a tour.

Recognized as one of North America?s prime events, the Vectren Dayton Air Show attracts top exhibits and performers such as the U.S Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
