The Victorian Perambulator Museum started out with a private collection of 50 carriages that has now grown to 200. It was founded in 1988 when the people behind wanted it to become public.

It is the only museum that displays antique baby carriages. It houses the world?s largest known collection of early wicker baby and doll carriages as well. Some of these are handmade from natural fibers and are fashioned into intricate and ornate designs with distinctive shapes. With this, each carriage is considered a work of art. The museum also displays pre-1900 children?s sleds, dolls, farm wagons, velocipedes, books, toys, games, and other items that visitors can find interesting. Existing for more than 20 years already, the museum is owned by Judy and Janet, twins who have dedicated their lives to preserving the Victorian era.
