The Gene Autry Oklahoma Museum has rare items that served as personal belongings of Gene Autry who is popularly known as the singing cowboy. Its wide displays include his guitars, records, movie and television sets along with his other collaborative projects with other Western stars who are also into the signing industry like Tex Ritter, Eddie Dean and Roy Rogers.

The main mission of the museum is to dedicate a venue to pay tribute to the legacy of all these singing cowboys that all became a part of the history of the state. All of them were stars of western films way back in the era of the 1930s up to the 1950s. It is the first and only museum in the US that works like this.
