The Overholser Mansion is a 3-story French chateau-style residence inhabited by well-known Oklahoma City Leader and financier Henry Overholser, considered as the Father of Oklahoma City. For many years, the late-Victorian mansion was the focal point of the social scene in Oklahoma City as it hosted a lot of prominent political and cultural important figures. As the most visible legacy of Henry Overholser, it was also recognized as an indication of the development and prosperity in Oklahoma.
Today, the 1903 the mansion is owned by the Oklahoma Historical Society. It is still adorned with the original furnishings owned by the Overholser family. Some of these include English carpets, Brussels lace curtains, Antwerp fine oak panelling, and French stained glass windows.
