The Alderwood State Wayside is a state park and recreation area in Cheshire, Oregon. It is a simple, forested track near Horton that is best known for its gorgeous scenery and views.

Located along Highway 36, the Alderwood State Wayside may be small in size, but it is an excellent place to stop and enjoy some quiet time. It is a great place for picnicking, as there?s really not that much to do around this small wayside. However, there?s a short trail that hiking enthusiasts can take and stroll through. It?s not much, though, but it follows the Long Tom River, and can be quite an experience. The Alderwood State Wayside is also a good place for fishing for rainbow trout.
