The Augustus Fanno Farmhouse stands in the very first property claimed in what will later become the county of Washington in the state of Oregon. Owned by Augustus Fanno, who was also one of the earliest European American settlers in the area, the site is a true historical site that shouldn?t be missed in case you?re in town.

The Augustus Fanno Farmhouse became the home of Fanno and his second wife and seven children. They initially raised onions until onion maggots damaged their livelihood in the 1940s. in 1982 the Fanno family donated the property to the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District.

The Augustus Fanno Farmhouse has been recognized as a significant historical site by the Tualatin Valley Heritage and has been named as a Century Farm. It is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
