Adjacent to Bagby Hot Springs is the Bagby Guard Station in Mount Hood National Forest. Like other guard stations in the country, it was built to house fire crews so these employees need not to commute and travel miles on a daily basis when trying to fulfill their tasks.

Built in 1913, the Bagby Guard Station is a really impressive site. The main structure is basically a log cabin in the rustic style. Aside from it, there is also an older shed, as well as three bathhouses and two outhouses on the site. Only the bathhouses and the outhouses are open to the public today.

The Bagby Guard Station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
