The Bathtub Art Museum is dedicated to the bathtub in art. There are many artists who have used this fixture as a subject and supporting subject in creating art pieces because bathtubs are now considered as common pieces of furniture in every household. The bathtub collection that can be found within the Bathtub Art Museum consists of postcards dating back from the 1900?s up to the present year. These postcards have become interesting pieces of art form especially when using the bathtub as a subject. The curator of the Museum finds an irony to the postcard being a public form of art while the bathtub, being found in the bathroom, is considered as a private space for someone.

The Bathtub Art Museum first began as an online museum in 2003. In 2009, the museum finally acquired its permanent museum space in the form of a large piece of sculptural art by Brennan Conaway. After the formation of the 100 Foundation Friends of the Bathtub Art Museum, the museum was able to purchase the space. The Bathtub Art Museum also offers rotating exhibits during certain seasons.
