The Centennial Covered Bridge was built in 1987 in celebration of the city of Cottage Grove?s 100th founding anniversary. Being for the city?s festivity, it is located in the Main Street of Cottage Grove, crossing the Coast Fork Willamette River.

The Centennial Covered Bridge is actually a scale replica of the Chambers Covered Bridge, located a half mile upstream from its location. The original bridge was a railroad bridge built in the early 1900s, but is not in service anymore. This replica is open for pedestrians and bicycles, however.

Measuring a relatively small ten feet in width and 84 feet in length, the Centennial Covered Bridge is made mostly out of recycled materials using parts of the former Brumbaugh and Meadows bridges.
