The Crater Lake Superintendent?s Residence was built in 1933 to serve as a residence for the management of the Crater Lake National Park. It was made with heavy-handed woodwork and massive boulders after the design of the National Park Services Branch of Plans and Design.

Located inside the Crater Lake National Park and at the northern end of the Munson Valley Historic District, the Crater Lake Superintendent?s Residence sports a really impressive architecture. It sports the traditional NPS rustic architectural style that is commonly used by the agency for its structures, making them uniform and easily recognizable.

Today, the Crater Lake Superintendent?s Residence is used as the park?s Science and Learning Center. It was also declared as a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
