Using stone blocks taken from the local quarry, the Crook County Bank Building was constructed in 1910 in Pineville Oregon. It was initially used as a bank, and then for an insurance agency until 1971, when the Crook County was able to acquire it.

The Crook County Bank Building became home to at least three different banks. It was then donated to the county by AR Bowman?s wife in 1971.

Today, the Crook County Bank Building is being used by the Crook County Historical Society to house the Bowman Museum, named after AR Bowman whose family donated the building to the local government. It features pioneer artifacts, as well as collections featuring the town?s histories in the timber industry and military.
