The Currin Bridge is one of the seven covered bridges in its area in Cottage Grove, Oregon. It crosses t he Row River, and is the only covered bridge in the state to be painted with two different colors (red and white).
Constructed in 1925 as a replacement to the earlier bridge in its location that was build in 1883, the Currin Bridge only took up $4205 to be completed. The structure was done by the county, as the lowest bid came at $6250.
Today, the Currin Bridge is only open to pedestrian traffic. It was restored in the mid 1990s after receiving a grant of $48,000 to jumpstart the restoration project.
In 1979, the Currin Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
