Opened in 1980, the Des Chutes Historical Museum is a local history museum located in Bend, Oregon. It was formed when the building was donated to the Deschutes County in 1979 from the public school district.

The Des Chutes Historical Museum?s building is as historic as the contents are. The structure, originally known as the Reid School is a part of the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1914 and named after the first principal of the first schoolhouse that accepted first grade to high school students.

Today, the Des Chutes Historical Museum features a great amount of antiques and historic items that tells of school and home life in various eras. It is open regularly, except on Mondays and Sundays.
