During the early 20th century, the Egyptian revival architecture has seen a lot of versions, mostly because of the craze the discovery of King Tut?s grave has triggered. This is why there are a good number of buildings from this era that sported such motifs.

However, the most popular of all is the use of the said architectural style in theatres. This is why spotting an Egyptian Theatre in Coos Bay, Oregon may not exactly be surprising to many. It was originally built as a service station and garage by Charles Noble, a local and descendant of one of the area?s pioneers. He converted the site into a theatre later on with the help of Albert Mercier and Lee Arden Thomas.

The Egyptian Theatre still functions as a public performance venue until today, although, they are still working on acquiring grants that could help in upgrading their equipment.
