The Favell Museum was founded by a family who collected Indian artifacts for many years. Having a real western heritage, the family enhanced their collection with art pieces done by western artists. The establishment of the museum culminates their dream to preserve western artifacts to share them to the world.

The Museum provides a venue where art and culture come together. Its collections that are displayed make the visitors see the richness and dynamism if the societies that once existed in the area. Inside, visitors can find Native American material culture and paintings by contemporary artists as well as sculptures, woodcarvings, native clothing, beadwork, tools, miniature firearms, rifles, and many more.

The Favell Museum also houses its own library containing an extensive book collection including art books about artists who have paintings in the museum.
